FILLING IN THE GOVERNMENT CONSULTATION TO PROTECT STAGS

Our sister group, Action Against Foxhunting, has produduced clear, and easy advice for everyone to look at before filling in the Government Consultation to ban trail hunting. For stags, banning trail hunting will make no difference, but we can still use this consultation to put forward our views.

The main thing for stags is this: ALL OF THE EXEMPTIONS IN THE HUNTING ACT MUST BE REMOVED. Stag hunts take advantage of the “Research and Observation” exemption to continue hunting stags as they always have.
